Nathan Lipson joined TMG Consulting in the fall of 2016. During his time at TMG, Mr. Lipson has capitalized on his educational and professional background to assist with numerous projects including the planning of the North Terminal of the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (LANOIA) and the review and oversight of the LANOIA Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) Program. Mr. Lipson has also been involved with the administration of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) program for the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BRMA) including procurement documentation review, goal setting for DBE participation, and outreach to further DBE procurement opportunities. He has also participated in the development of economic and demographic research and analyses seeking to best allocate gaming facilities for a Native American tribe as well as a similar analysis for a private developer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Mr. Lipson is a certified LEED Green Associate.
Nathan is a graduate of Tulane University School of Architecture earning a master’s degree in May of 2017 in Sustainable Real Estate Development. His major research project for his master’s evaluated the application of public land exchange programs in response to and in an attempt to mitigate the impact of climate change in coastal regions. This research focused on the impacts of Hurricane Ike on the Galveston community.
Prior to his time in New Orleans, Mr. Lipson worked toward his Bachelor of Urban Planning at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he graduated in May 2016. In Champaign, Mr. Lipson worked with Champaign County Regional Planning Commission where he assisted on the Champaign Urbana Urban Area Transportation Study. Since his move to New Orleans, Mr. Lipson has worked with the City of New Orleans’ Service and Innovation and Parks and Parkways Departments to complete a comprehensive analysis of park property in the city.
